Stitches the Pony
At first glance, it looks like Stitches has had kind of a rough life. She’s sewn together all on the outside so her stitches show, but this is just a reflection of her outgoing personality. She’s easily the happiest horse you’ll ever meet – she loves being in the outdoors, bobbing for apples, and being around other sock horses. Her favorite color is electric purple and she hopes to one day become a veterinarian.
A package of pony!
She has painted hooves!
Stitches was made from a pair of adorable knee socks and is another of my ‘prototype’ designs, which is why it took me forever to finish her. She has two black shank button eyes, a fushia felt mane and tail, and hand-embroidered nostrils and a heart on her butt. The ‘hooves’ are made from the top bands of the socks sewn onto her little pudgy legs. As always, she’s completely sewn and stuffed by hand and with love. She’s going to my niece Haley as a Christmas present.
