Inkers the Squid
He’s finally done! Inkers the Squid is here to snuggle. He enjoys hugs, arranging jellybeans by color, and dancing to disco music. All the other squid make fun of him, but he doesn’t mind. He loves everyone.
Inkers was made from a single black stripey dress sock that lost its mate long ago, hand-sewn and stuffed with poly-fil. His tentacle whips were made from another black sock. He sits 17 inches from the top of his conical head to the bottom of his tentacle whips.
His eyes are felt with hand-embroidery on them. His mouth and tentacle heart suckers are also hand-embroidered.
Inkers is a present for my son, since I took Cheeky away before he got to play with him. This squid took freaking forever because sewing and stuffing eight tiny little arms is time consuming. I am going to make a tutorial for him once I’ve perfected the technique a little more – this was a prototype.
