Cheeky the Monkey
Posted under: For Christmas this year, I wanted to make all my nieces and my nephew handmade plushie creatures. I’m calling my creations “Whimsykins”, so you’ll probably be seeing more of them here. This is my first attempt at a sock monkey but not my first attempt at a plushie. I made my brother an awesome Murloc for his birthday several years ago.
This is Cheeky the Monkey. He enjoys playing practical jokes on people, going on adventures, and eating vanilla pudding.
- He’s striped! He’s Cheeky!
Cheeky was made from a pair of green glitter striped knee socks, hand sewn and stuffed with poly-fill, and hand-embroidered. He stands 18.5 inches from head to foot, but 25 inches from head to the base of his tail.
- No one can stay mad at Cheeky. Not with a face like that.
He also has a little heart embroidered on his left butt cheek.
- Cheeky is very cheeky.
Cheeky is going to be a birthday gift for my nephew due in late October.
- Who wouldn’t want a Cheeky?
